Here are some amazing random cool stuff that I found on the internet this week - just click and enjoy

Thanks for reading!

This week:
  1. My Fridge Food - Got a bunch of random food in your fridge and have absolutely no idea what to do with it? Stop your fretting. Fret no longer. Fridge Food has you covered. Just click what you've got in your kitchen and it'll suggest a meal you can make. Pop Tarts scampy, anyone?
  2. Apartment Therapy - If you're even a little bit of a fan of home decor or DIY projects, this is a website you might find yourself spending hours and hours on. There's a ton of awesome visual and written content on here. My favourites include their "before and after" series, their "small spaces" series, and the tours of people's actual apartments and homes.
  3. How Long To Read? - Ever look at a book and think, "Damn. Look at all those pages." Well, be intimidated no longer. Use this website to find out how long a given book will typically take a person to read.
  4. Wayback Machine - Feeling nostalgic? Check out what websites have looked like over the years via Internet Archive's famous Wayback Machine. It lets you pick a date and see exactly what any website looked like at that time. (For a real trip, compare how Facebook looked back in the 2000s to today. Remember the wall-to-wall?)
  5. GeoGuessr - A fun game that drops you in a random place in the world and makes you try to figure out where you are. Poland really is beautiful.

If you have enjoyed this week's brief but carefully curated walk through the web, please feel free to share or forward this email.

Still want more ?
Project Close Checklist

You finally delivered the project and had the go live drinks. The team is now breaking up but there are a few things the project manager needs to do to make sure the project is closed and wrapped up. These are grouped into:
  • Scope management- did everything get delivered
  • Risk and issues- what is still outstanding
  • Financials- did everything get paid ?
  • Resources- have resources been re assigned ?
  • Lessons learned
  • Documentation & archiving

You may also find some of the tools and templates that I have used to deliver projects for startups here, including the most popular item in the store, a project quote tool that helps you build a fully costed project commercial model. You can find it here.
